When I go camping with my family, its hard for me to not bring a drone along and take it for a spin.  Often times, it’s purely for my entertainment.  This time however,  I must say that I am particularly glad I had one with me.  It was awesome to be able to capture such beauty and then share it with my family …and the internet (lol).

This is another one of those times where I feel like having the angle from above makes such huge difference.  It was quite nice down on the ground, but being able to see everything from up in the air really gave me a different perspective.  Looking out and seeing that you’re surrounded by mountains is a wonderful feeling.

For those interested, this was filmed at Camp Loudoun in Lovettesville, Virginia.  We booked a night on Josh S’s land through Hipcamp.com, and we could not have been more pleased with our experience.  It was a genuine wilderness car camping experience – a nice contrast to the campgrounds that I often find myself.  I highly suggest you check this place out and book a night or two for yourself!
